This exquisite Eve is in fact part of an original fourteenth-century pavement. She can be found with a slightly faded Adam and serpent in front of the altar in Prior Crauden’s Chapel in Ely. It is a truly mind-boggling pavement if you dare to sneak-a-peak under the carpet!
